Taste: marvelously incorporated subtle tannins, medium body, prune flavor, wild strawberry and ripe berry flavors, and persistent final touch, accompanied by vanilla flavors.  
To be served with: game meat, red meat products and cheese products
Serving temperature: room temperature (18ºC)


Merlot Vinul Cavalerului delights us with its velvet tannins and complexity of its “bouquet”. It comes from grapes which are hand picked, keeping the flavor that is typical to the varietal, and which have been processed in the traditional manner, keeping the temperature at a maximum of 30° C.

The grapes have been sorted once again before introducing them into the fermentation tank; they have been completely de-stemmed before crushing and they have been transported in tanks on rubber conveyor belts. The fermentation process lasts from 6 to 8 days.

Due to its qualities, Merlot Vinul Cavalerului may be served young, as well as aged (3 to 5 years).
